1. Why isn't my financial aid on my billing statement?

The Financial Aid Office may be missing documents, such as tax forms or loan applications. Please contact your Financial Aid office as soon as possible to avoid registration delays.

2. What type of loans have I taken out, and how much money have I borrowed while I attended Cornell University?

The Financial Aid Office can provide a loan history of all loans borrowed while you attended Cornell University. That office can be reached at (607) 255-5145. Our Student Loan Office can provide repayment information for federal Perkins and Cornell University student loans. Be aware that you also may have other student loans that are administered by other lending institutions.

3. What do I do with my scholarship check?

Scholarship checks must be sent to the following address:

Office of Financial Aid and Student Employment 
Scholarship Division, PO Box 752, Ithaca, NY 14851


 NOTE: Scholarship checks received by the Office of the Bursar will be forwarded to the Office of Financial Aid to apply toward the aid amount received by the student.  Please be advised that students are required to report the receipt of outside sources of financial assistance. Financial Aid should be notified in advance so that adjustments to your aid package can be handled promptly.
